The world is moving fast to subscription based services, so the dream many people had when Java emerged is gaining finally traction after all those years.

I don't know if they'll pull ynab4 out of steam and if so, would our copies still function but You can always get your 'cd-key' from the ynab menu and then install it outside of steam and register with the key. Are you saying they are stopping the support of it? What's going to happen to my Steam copy? Will it still work? Will I need to pay monthly? Last edited by Backa 5 Feb, am. But if someone found a likely alternative I would also like to try it as the new model of licensing isn't my thing really, I like to know where exactly my data is stored and who can access it. Most of the other software I tried ware more of an "accounting" type then just a simple "family budget". I'm not a fan of paying for a subscription and since this program will only be supported for another year, are there any other YNAB alternatives out there that anyone would recommend? As I was trying to sync with the new app, I realized there were two versions.
